Just acquired a simple air compressor. I'm now trying to figure out which fittings I should get. Are 1/8" npt fittings and 6 mm tube the usual size for connecting steam engines to an air source? Found some nice quick connectors on Aliexpress. Now I hope I can use them.

I have been using 6mm silicone tube as used in fish tank air systems, this seems to work well and as it is flexible sits on the bench out of the way even under pressure.
I'd like to know what your Dad as a rule 'screws in' into (connector) the model steam engine. If I know that I can figure out the fittings between that and my compressor.
Hi Eric,
Thanks for posting. Dad thinks you would be better asking a company that sells compressors.
