Hi
I have bought a well made single Victoria
After running very well for some months on air the crank web now spins on the crankshaft
There is no pin or grub-screw fitted, nor a keyway
What is the method of attachment in the design?
Any ideas re how to repair this?
I am thinking Locktite
Comments please
Many thanks for this
I decided to use an appropriate loctite and it seems fine so far
If it fails I can always drill and pin
Regards
Chris
Hello,
Congratulations! the Victoria is a beautiful engine.
The crank web should be pinned to the crank shaft. There should be a tappered hole through the boss of the crank web and the crank shaft. There is a video of Keiths showing this.
Loctite will not suffice to complete this repair.
All the best.
