Hi. I have learned from Mr. Apelton the usefulness of the Locktite 603 "permanent" locking/gluing /fixing/holding/mending/repairing/welding/soldering-like capabilities. However, having applied this stuff to a part for temporary holding, I'm struggling to get rid of the remains of it afterwords after having heated the parts to separate them. Sometimes I'm done with the finish and don't want to sand it off. Tried thinner, but no luck.
Is there a "undo" button somewhere?
There is a reference of it on Amazon in the UK. I live in Germany, near the Dutch border. I can get it in 1 liter bottles from almost every diy store. It is used for dissolving or as an adhesive for plastics (like with model aircrafts). I used it a lot for cleaning up poyurethane spills (before it hardens).
You may also find it as Butanone.
